About
The LOVE and GOODNESS Project
Our Lives Are God-Given
We believe that our lives are God-given and that God directs our lives
through love signals in our hearts,
In addition, God has given us a spirit of goodness to help us respond
to the signals that God provides.
We Are Here to Help Each Other
We believe that our basic purpose
for being here is to help
others in some special way.
Life is not simply about what we achieve for ourselves, but rather the extent to which we
use our lives to help others.
Our Choices Define Our Lives
We believe that our success in
life is dependent on the choices we make.
Our choices define
how we use our lives, the amount of
goodness we share with others, and
what we ultimately achieve.
Our Basic Beliefs
The Importance of Our Choices
While we believe that there is goodness in everyone, yes everyone, its impact on one’s life and the lives of others is dependent on the choices we make. With good choices, we provide a path for that goodness to find its way into the world and help others in special ways. With poor or bad choices, we, in effect, dampen our flame of goodness and in some instances extinguish it completely.
Making good choices, especially with today's tech-delivered influences, is our single biggest challenge. We tend to overlook how important and powerful our choices really are. But, our choices determine what we say and do each day, how we treat other people, and, overall, whether we are a good person, or not.
The Love and Goodness Project
What We Want to Do
On Goodness and its importance in Our Lives.
We want to encourage people not to waste their life hating and being against things, but to use their life in positive ways to help others and to make the world a little better because they were here.
On Goodness and its importance in Our Lives.
We want to share our belief that God is at work in each and every one of our lives and counts on partnering with you and me to carry out God's work in the world.
On Goodness and its importance in Our Lives.
We want to motivate our users to stop and think about the importance of their choices and the fact that our choices ultimately define our lives and what we achieve.
Who Can Benefit
from Learning More about Love and Goodness?
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES
People who would like to step away from the fray,
focus more on the amount of goodness coming from their lives, and
increase the helpful choices they make each day.
PARENTS TEACHING CHILDREN
Mothers and fathers who would like to have a resource
to help their children understand the need for goodness, its fundamental importance in life, and
how it can help them have a more meaningful life experience.
POLITICAL AND WORLD LEADERS
We need leaders in every country in the world
who will stand up for goodness and lead their people
to do more good and worthwhile things with their lives.
Project Development Team
Michael Nelson
Michael worked for IBM right out of college and went on to a career in technology financing and banking. After retiring, Michael wrote his first book titled Good Choices Good Life. The objective of the book was to help its readers value the importance of the choices we make in life. Wanting to reach more people in this internet age, the book was followed by the start of an online educational nonprofit under the same name. In 2018 Michael’s second book, Living by Choice, was published and is reflected in several of the lessons on this site. Michael and his wife, Betty, have two grown children, both with MBA’s and very successful in their own right, and three up-and-coming grandchildren who seem to be making some good choices of their own.
